Baldwin-Woodville athletes qualified for the WIAA state tournament in two different sports in the past week. The girls golf team qualified at last week's sectional at Bristol Ridge. It is the first time B-W has qualified for state from girls golf, individual or team.

In addition to the golf team, the Baldwin-Woodville number one doubles tennis team of Kirsten Hoffman and Sara Donahoe advanced to the state tennis tournament as "special qualifiers." Donahoe and Hoffman will play this Thursday night against a team from Green Bay Notre Dame.

On Monday of this week the golf team shot a team total of 391, two strokes behind Oconto Falls. Madison Edgewood leads the team competition with a 311. Erica Timmers led the Hawks with an 18-hole total 89.
